The match started at 106 pounds and Luis Ruano battled hard, but he could not fight off his aggressive opponent who took him down and got the first period pin. Kenwood led the match 6-0.
At 113, Evan Cantimiry got the first takedown and rode his opponent out. Evan controlled him for much of the 2nd period and added on another takedown and back points. He extended his lead in the 3rd period and won via a 10-4 decision, closing the team score to 6-3.
At 120 Captain Philip Bramucci got the first takedown and controlled the tempo of the match. He scored a takedown and back points in the 2nd period and turned his opponent for the pin in the 3rd period. Dulaney led 9-6.
At 126, Captain Destiny Benjamin dominated her opponent with a total of 5 takedowns before securing the 2nd period pin. Dulaney led the team score 15-6.
At 132, Ephrem Fitzsimmons got the first takedown, but he gave up a reversal to end the first period tied 2-2. He battled back and forth with his opponent and won the match via an 8-6 decision. Dulaney led 18-6.
At 138, James Fitzsimmons got the first takedown and then got reversed, but escaped to lead the match 3-2 after the first period. James got reversed and gave up some back points to fall behind. James came on strong with his own takedown and backpoints to secure the comeback win via a 10-8 decision. Dulaney led 21-6.
At 145 pounds Brett Burke was caught off guard by his aggressive opponent and was taken down and pinned in the first period. Dulaney led 21-12.
At 152, Sam Bloch continued his dominant ways by hitting a blast double and getting 3 back points. He turned his opponent again for the 1st period pin. Dulaney led 27-12.
At 160, Noah Dow secured the first takedown and got the pin to extend Dulaney's lead to 33-12.
At 170, Zavion Woodard controlled his opponent with a series of takedowns and back points. He was leading 7-0 when he got the 2nd period pin to extend Dulaney's lead to 39-12.
At 182, Elias Rodriguez stepped in to his first varsity match. He fought hard, but was taken down and pinned via half nelson. Dulaney led 39-18.
At 195, Tyren Hamilton continued his dominant season by taking his opponent down and getting the first period pin to extend Dulaney's lead to 45-18.
At 220, Bryce Brown was taken down, but battled back for the escape. He was taken down again and got pinned in the 2nd period. Dulaney lead 45-24.
At 285, Nick Schiefelbein gave up the first takedown, but maintained his composure and got the quick reversal and turned his opponent over for the 1st period pin.
Dulaney won the dual meet 51-24! Dulaney's record is now 10-4 overall and 3-3 in Dual Meets.
